Blog #7: Coping with Stress
Stress happens to everyone and everyone has their own ways of dealing with stress. I found it interesting that emotion-focused coping would be a way to deal with stress. After reading the description of this form of coping the first thing I thought was how this form of coping would actually help with the stress. Does the stress every really go away or is this form of coping just prolong the stress for a long time? I suppose that emotion-focused coping makes one think positively about the situation so the looking on the brighter side of the stress cancels the stress out. I just wonder how well this form of coping actually works for someone.
