According to our text, 15% of couples suffer from infertility. There are many different reasons as to why men and women become infertile and age happens to be one of the reasons. The book also mentions a few treatments for parents and artificial insemination happens to be a treatment. I have nothing against artificial insemination and I feel that it is the decision of the couple and only theirs but I have a concern about the pregnancy. If a woman or a man is too old to conceive a child, then how can the woman’s body still function properly? If she is too old to conceive then wouldn’t she be too old to carry a pregnancy?
